Just been watching this video, The JCB 3D is one of my favourites. Its great that the JCB archive is being shared on youtube now

I had one way back in the 80's the standard front bucket was huge on the 3D, They were a bit heavy on the back end too, I would like to see some of the new generation of operators on one !

yeh - the D was a beast for sure ... would frighten a few I dare say :rolleyes::LOL:

Noooooooooooo. But I suppose if they are too far gone at least they will provide parts for working machines and restorations, Do you break many machines then, Wherabouts are you located.

I reckon thats had a replacement cab on it the front grille looks like that is an earlier machine 1981-2 type which had a white cab it also has the boxier extending dipper, It could be a crossover 82/83 machine great find though.

yeh ... dipper is nothing like my '87 black cab

Did your machine have the electric shuttle or the Borg warner shuttle I had an 86 2WD with the Borg warner identical to your one, It was a good machine.

electric on the column TK ... TBH I wish I'd kept it ... I was 2nd owner

Yep you probably should have,I am always on the lookout for my old F reg sitemaster,I would

have to buy it back for nostalgia alone .I dare say it’s still scratching away somewhere

I’m more interested in that dumper at the back. Haulamatic?
was thinking more Paus Bri ... but looking at this pic.... not curvy enough and the cab's all wrong and on the wrong side

The 3D was a beast of a machine, my grandfather had one (we still have it, on the long list to be restored) I practically grew up in it:)
