each to his ownJust been watching this video, The JCB 3D is one of my favourites.
yeh - the D was a beast for sure ... would frighten a few I dare sayI had one way back in the 80's the standard front bucket was huge on the 3D, They were a bit heavy on the back end too, I would like to see some of the new generation of operators on one !
yeh ... dipper is nothing like my '87 black cabI reckon thats had a replacement cab on it the front grille looks like that is an earlier machine 1981-2 type which had a white cab it also has the boxier extending dipper, It could be a crossover 82/83 machine great find though.
electric on the column TK ... TBH I wish I'd kept it ... I was 2nd ownerDid your machine have the electric shuttle or the Borg warner shuttle I had an 86 2WD with the Borg warner identical to your one, It was a good machine.
was thinking more Paus Bri ... but looking at this pic.... not curvy enough and the cab's all wrong and on the wrong sideI’m more interested in that dumper at the back. Haulamatic?

The 3D was a beast of a machine, my grandfather had one (we still have it, on the long list to be restored) I practically grew up in itI had one way back in the 80's the standard front bucket was huge on the 3D, They were a bit heavy on the back end too, I would like to see some of the new generation of operators on one !
