8014 Blade lever stiff

Hi, have just joined the forum and found it really informative , im not the only one that has plant problems. Can anyone suggest a fix please My rarely used (2011) 8014 has developed a very stiff blade lever, when forced it will move but stick in that position

Probably a Bowden cable gone rusty or a corroded linkage (no knowledge of the actual machine) dismantle some plastics and coat everything in oil. It could also be muck under the floor pan on top of the valve block
