You can order them from new like that, so they have always been a 3.5 tonner. I think you can have 7 tonne train weight then.

I’ve often wondered if they’re a nightmare to insure when downrated 
There only looks to be 140-160kg difference on ulw between 3.5 and 5t/5.5 chassis cab.

I think the only real difference is the twin wheel rear axle.I’ve often wondered if they’re a nightmare to insure when downrated

Well got the cab off mine, maybe 2 hrs work. Going to jet wash it off, what's best thing to use around the engine, like a degrease or something (I've only got cold wash here, not steam cleaner)

Obviously what you need to invest in is this steam cleaner then! She’s an older lady who has seen plenty of action, not afraid of getting all steamy when things are really dirty, doesn’t currently live far from you and is looking for a new home as has been replaced by a younger model…
(Works great, plenty of heat, will draw tfr etc through and fire it out under full pressure - I’m only selling it as have bought a 3 phase machine).

I have an old (very old) lance for applying Jizer and the like with an adjustable venturi to vary the amount the air picks up ... 's a very good old tool for the job -- will get a pic or two ... just drop the pick up tube into a gallon can and spray

You need to use better quality paint, not the brown and gold watered down stuff you found in a skip!!!I used to find TFR tended to bugger paint out of a steamer though
