Do you mean length as park them side by side and the cab on the mitsubishi cabstar is significantly bigger both inside and out. The Isuzu are really narrow the cab is far narrower than the body and the body is narrower than a transit ( you can't fit a 2m wide pedestrian barrier in a grafter body)
Some of the grafters are lwb but this doesn't effect them much as the steering lock is so much better than a transit. The only thing is the overhang on the lwb grafters mean they aren't the best at reversing trailers
I've not studied any other trucks. I've had cabstars for 20 years. The dyna look good

What is most important? Payload / maneuverability/ reliability/ efficiency? Tipping trailer not an option?
Yes all of these. I don't think tipping trailer is the answer, still have to have a vehicle to pull that. I haven't got much on at moment, so no hurry
I'll use my van in the meantime

About to stick my transit tipper up for sale now my house is finished but the guy who collects my scrap wants first refusal. It’s served me well but rust starting to bite in a few places 😬

I agree, truck prices are on the way down. I'd value that at around £6k.
I’m holding off as long as possible. Our average van age is nearly 10years old, and I have 5 transits all over 10 years old and with 150-210k on the clock. We were lucky enough to upgrade 4 vans during the lockdowns at sensible prices with the CIBL. I’m trying to wait till June 2025 before buying any more as I’ll be all paid up then.
