Good evening,

New to the forum and in need of some advice and help, I have 3000hour zx130 model year 21 that has some hydraulic issues and what I believe is a slew play issue.
I will post videos for more clarity. But basically the boom rams and dipper ram are what I can only describe as “bouncy” when rolling the dipper out and stopping the arm will drop by around 10/20cm, also the boom rods seem to somewhat bounce in and out of the cylinder making it look as if floating!!! When grading it will (not every time) just momentarily hop up on its own!!! Machine is under warranty but it’s becoming a real issue as it feels we’re not getting anywhere with it!!

Second issue I’ve come across is the slew, it seems to have a fair bit of play left to right and would appear to be very Drifty if tracking won’t stay 100% stopped in place..
like I say the machine is under 6months warranty but I’m fast becoming annoyed annoyed at the lack of diagnosis.

Any help or advice on this is welcome.

Top dipper hrv valve has been swapped and no resolve on dropping dipper ram!!

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
@Richard Hunton might be able to shed some light -- IIRC he had similar experiences with a different breed of 14t machine

Was that the Kobelco?
no .. Doosan DX 140 LCR like this one -- which was an awesomely brilliant tool - never missed a beat and was lovely to operate

Give the dealer a final demand to fix the machine, explain you’ll be dropping it into their yard and expect a hire machine ready and waiting & wont be swapping them back until yours is fully rectified!!

Twitter/linkedin is always a good place to stir things up!!

Is it a six month warranty from a used machinery dealer or the remaining six months of the original manufacturers warranty?

Either way you need to get heavy and fast.
6month warranty from hitachi used.

Looks as if they are coming out again end of the month but it feels like im not getting anywhere.

How long have you had the machine? & how long since you notified them of the faults?

Depending on what the warranty says if the dealer wont resolve the current issues, youd almost want it expire in some way and then get it dropped back the yard. Potentially easier then to demand a replacement or onging replacement hire costs.
Past experience - if you drop it in yard hoping for a fix a certain dealer just left it parked up and challenged all submitted costs as they claimed it was operational.
looking back i wish it had of just failed under warranty solicitor stated it would have been easier to resolve.

Had the machine since Feb, the faults were notified almost immediately, and had numerous site engineering visits, just painfully slow and not getting anywhere!!
playing for time and warranty expiry

Definitely, you need to go really hard on them before it expires, trying to get anything from them out of warrenty will be impossible!
Write the supplier a letter or email stating that you expect the fault fixed within the warranty period or and extension on the warranty for that particular fault so that is resolved at the suppliers cost. I’d make it particularly clear in the communication that you reported the fault to them at x date which was well within the warranty period
