A bit of motorcycle maintenance for me this evening. Im trying to get my kdx200 to a usable state so i can take it to a practice event. The clutch is horrible so i have filed the notches on the fingers down. I dont know why but working on bikes is such a joy.
Its a bit of a minger but i want to make sure i like it before spending too much on it.

Are you doing an Enduro practice with the KDX?

Yes thats the plan. I havent ridden at an event for about 5 years now. My last enduro bike was a 250excf and before that a 450 exc. I seam to be going backwards with engine size.
I took the kdx for a brief test ride the other day and it made my crf300l feel like a sleeping donky.

I went to watch my nephew ride his first enduro a while back and thought some of the sections were pretty tricky. I definitely wouldn’t want to be riding them on a 450.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
used to do local enduros and time trials - campaigned a 320 SWM Gori and a CR250 Hodna and depended on which course as to which bike got run ... the CR had a great steering lock and very often got used for time trials - if a section was too nadgery, I'd just go through the first gate yelling five and gun it ... made up for points dropped, between sections, with the speed capability of the Hodna :ROFLMAO:

Got the plastics and sump guard off this today, new grips, oil change etc and giving it a 1/2 decent clean after the trip, thought these photos might interest a few on here, there isnt many about compared to other makes, steel/alloy frame - old 600cc SWM engine - supposed to be 60hp feels a bit lazy at times, still fun on the road sections trying a bit of supermot style :) but comes into its own snorting along off the bottom of the revs, finds traction everywhere when its slippy and tight or flat out skipping across everything with 300mm of travel when its open to do so, really rate it tbh but
would also like to try a 690ktm sometime.
