Started this so as not to annoy the todays job threaders with non digger ralated waffling.

What a day on the bike - 9hrs minus food and fuel stop - went from somewhere near start of 23 and back up 21 - miles and miles of flowing forest tracks and some tricky single track stuff, came howling up to a road end where gendarmes were stood radaring people, i was stood up and off like buggery, i sort of slid up to them cos it was gravel, i looked at them, they looked at each other, i nodded as i pulled off and he nodded back, couldn't see lights or number plate for shite, but they didnt set off doxwn the track after me :) cant remember a better day on a bike tbh ! bloody hot today and hotter tomorrow !

Deeper than it looked from the bridge, filled my boots with water from the top :)

They are such iconic knives I like to stick to wood looking, but each to his own.
Shame they are illegal to carry in UK with "good reason".
really ! i like them too , not daft money if you loose em but nice and simple/safe to use.
mine lives here in an old grip, bear grills (?) style, ready to defend myself from marauding baguettes.

Afraid so, they can be locked open. Insane rule given I've never heard of anyone being stabbed with a folding pocket knife. Fixed blades seem the fashion amongst the stabbing types.

You can get non locking opinels ..

Remembered about this as I drove home with this on my belt last night ..
Just glad I live somewhere I can justify it.

Again hardly the type of knife commonly used as a weapon, and a lot of time would be difficult to say you couldn't use a legal carry folder to do whatever you were doing with that given how short the blade is.

Picked up the concept when I worked over there for a few weeks as a teenager...
Lives on your snickers stud.
Absolute workhorse ...screwdriver. chisel. Pry bar. Twister.persuader .butter knife. Steak knife. Etc. folders not a patch on these. Look at any scandi tradesman.
Oh and they less than a tenner . More like a fiver . Ever wondered what the random metal stud is on your trousers? This .
