Honestly hard to keep up with the various prices I've had but along these lines

Kobelco SK17SR-3E - bare stick - £24.5k

Case CX19D - Hyd hitch and 3 buckets - £28.5k

Bobcat E20z - bare stick with hyd hitch pipework - £27k (priced last year)

All with twin auxiliary on rollers.
Nearly 30k for a 1.9-2 tonner seems mad money😬

Have you got it yet? If you have what do you reckon of it?
No hasn't turned up yet but shouldn't be long. I went for the European spec one so short dipper, twin aux but no VDS. Still wonder whether I should have gone for the ET24 with the fixed tracks as spent a few weeks on one and the undercarriage is really robustly built which perhaps better for the sort of terrain I'm in

Mine was £24200 bare stick.

That doesn’t sound too bad,I would guess the ET18 would be a couple of grand cheaper which would work for me to replace the cat.

They offered me a bare stick ET18 with VDS for £22ish k bare stick without the twin aux. The ET20 has bigger final drives and quite alot longer track frame (almost a foot longer) also the tracks slightly wider at 250mm Vs 230, it's the same arm as the ET24 whereas the 18 is smaller. The arm digging forces on the ET20 are the same as a Kubota 027-4 and my Takeuchi 2.8t on paper so felt like it was quite alot of machine for only an extra £1500 over the ET18.

Isnt the ET18 exactly the same as your current Cat? A 1.7d is a ET18, a 2.2d is a ET20 and a 2.4d is a ET24.
I think it is which would suit my needs as I have the kubota 030 as well and couple of grand saving covers hitch and buckets.I agree the 20 sounds a lot more machine for a little more cash though.
Th Cat is still a really good machine, not done many hours at all but I would like to change it while it still has fair value.

From experience, bobcat will come down on price a lot. Get other prices and tell them that’s where your money is going if they don’t sharpen their pencil.
Who do you deal with at Bobcat? I'm finding their rep is pretty firm itn the price, he only wants to drop the price if I drop spec too which defeats the object.

The other two dealers have come back with better quotes for older plated machines, getting in the right direction but still makes me wonder if they're worth the premium over a canopy machine.

Bobcat doing VAT deposit and 0% finance for 3 years at the moment which is pretty appealing...

Bobcat are tosspots - they have 2 prices, one for a cash sale and another a few grand more for 0%… It’s not exactly 0% when you look at it properly 😂

Put your money elsewhere then- they need to learn!
