People’s thoughts on changing to S40 now? Buckets are slightly hire spec at best😂
Other option I’m toying with is just a standard style tilty hitch

I looked at tilt hitch but its only half the job - go s40 and put a tilty on it later 🙂 you will absolutely not regret it ...a tilty on a 6t is shocking how you can turn out the work.

Tilting hitch would do what I need I think, as much as I like a steelwrist etc it’s not financially feasible at this time and I can’t see that machine seeing one. It’s really only a thought so I’m collecting the right style of attachments for the future.
S40 tilting bucket seems silly though😂

S40 is deff the way to go.
Tilt hitch seemed dear new when I was weighing it up verses engcon.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
Iirc the lad i know with a couple says be better lower build height and limit the tilt.
can't see how you could lower the build height by limiting the tilt on a rotary / helical --- it is what it is

Dont know tbh - seemed a gangly thing in the photos but didnt take a lot of notice otherwise, seemed to remember him saying something along those lines a year or 2 ago.

I’d imagine he’s referring to a ram type tilt hitch- although you could bring the hitch up under a helac unit which would cause it to ground out before 90 degrees.

I had considered that, but we were discussing (or so I thought) helical type -- yes if the under bracket was too short, it'd be possible to clash with the upper, but it'd wanna be bloody tight

I love the S40 system, best thing I ever did was flog 15 x 3cx buckets I had and buy into the S- type setup!
There is part of me wonders if thats the best plan of the whole lot
Same, I’m going straight for s45 with the 8 tonner
im guessing S45 be kinda big for my machine? It seems a bit of a no mans land where some are on s45 an some s40?

Euro Auctions Leeds this week. The Doosan had about 3000 hours. Would you have went for a fresher Chinese machine instead?
