I have an older Kubota Kx71-3 and would suggest looking at the Kx30.

Have had a 2020 KX027-4 with 160 hours on hire this weekend for digging some founds, honestly the best wee digger I've driven in a long time, comes in 2nd place just behind the ex30 for favourite mini I've used. Really smooth precise controls, plenty of power. Hire firm used to have hitachis so the hitch on it suited the buckets off our ex30, we put our 18inch bucket and ripper on and she handled them used fine, not sure how she would handle the 30inch or 3ft buckets tho. Just found it lacking in reach and stability compared to the ex30, nothing will come close to an ex30 although the kxo30-4 could be a closer match. Plenty of room in cab was nice. Main downside to me was the hydraulics are very noisy on start up.

2nd that...I use a kx-027 a lot...love it..often baffled why not more folk rave about them but I'm no expert. Mate has one with EC which simply superb to use. It be my go to machine.Spent a day on the 8T version last week which I was less impressed with.

And is that KX27 noisy in the hydraulics as well ?

The Kubota is a great digger - cab radio is an expensive extra that is almost definitely not included it the quoted price though.
They also have a massive counterweight overhang compared to others in this size class (which might not be a problem but thought it worth mentioning - it’s certainly something to consider if you are taking it amongst trees).

How are you getting on with your E27?

No ones mentioned the yanmar yet... The SV26 is well worth a look. It’s stable, good ground clearance, proportional aux hydraulics, with 3rd and 4th lines an option too. Actually legal to tow on a standard plant trailer, blade travel is good for levelling yourself on slopes, slightly lighter on the backend compared with my TB125 but extra weights are available.
I got quoted £23, 750 for one which I think is just a bargain. Nice track pedals to use. If I was going to fault it on one thing it would be the offset boom doesn’t go 90degrees to the left, more like 70, but I’d soon live with that, the controls for it is on the thumb too which is nice. My one will be ordered with a set of steels which will make it heavier but should be just towable.

I enquired about an Iveco daily, it took a few days for Iveco uk to respond, still not heard off a dealer.

That is cheap ! Was that machine serve ?
Yes, machineserve. They seem keen to sell and communication is A1, Also smaller independent dealer so would sooner spend my money with them.
That quote wasn’t for the spec I’d want mind you, with the extra aux lines, steel tracks, possibly tilt hitch, thumb etc.

Bobcat e19. But weird spec so factory special. Canopy, short dipper, updated track motors, extra counterweight, twin aux on the sticks and hydraulic hitch.
Go on then- how much!?

Not a good time to go looking for a used 2.5t ... couple I have seen tonight ....prices are crazy

Kubota KX61-3 - 2016 - 1 bucket - pinned straight on - 2200hrs 18.5k
Kubota U27-4 - 2017 - 2 buckets - maunual hitch - 2300hrs 19.750k

At those kind of prices its perhaps the time to offload used kit for new

That’s bonkers money really, just don’t understand the mentality of spending that kind of money when for another £5k you could have a brand spanker. This is what happens when you give lots of money to lots of people who haven’t earnt it 😂
