You're gonna struggle in that weight class to get a machine with a decent counterweight, they've got to chop weight off the back to keep within towing weights. I've seen a few machines with a bracket added on the back to hang tractor front weights off when using heavy attachments.

That's the u27, the kx027 is a conventional tail swing the specs say it sticks out the same as the kx030

I would not have volvo either we have 25 and 27 both not very good to operate compared to the Hitachi 26 loads of movement in all the bushes from new not good to grade with,

This yanmar I hired certainly wasn’t impressive- nearly brand new and could get anywhere near pulling this stump out (soft ground didn’t help as it pulled itself into the s**t) so it was with some surprise when I returned with my 18 yr old Kubota and pretty much flicked it out!

Maybe you should have taken the grading bucket off

See, this thread was worth starting! I had completely dismissed the 027, I had obviously been looking at the U version and written it off as an option. That (on paper at least!) literally ticks every box so far. 2.6t operating weight, 300mm tracks, decent enough counterweight, good reach, How had I missed this gem!

Im a cat man and id happily go back to cat as i do like there new minis again. I left after it seemed i was supposed to pay a cat price for a none cat product (thats not to say WN are shite at all) but thats where doosan/bobcat came up trumps.

I think PV Dobson in Skipton have a new Kx027 in stock. I've bought a couple of machines off them and they were great to deal with.

Not a huge kubota fan (for no particular reason) but I have to say the KX030 really is a smooth stable machine. Handles the weight of a tiltrotator perfectly

Can’t beleive volvo don’t have more support On here.ive got an ecr25d and it’s great apart from poor paint that volvo won’t acknowledge.apart from a split gator round left hand control it’s been fine.local dealer seems to sell loads of them too.Considered changeing it earlier in the year but despite talking to dealers they don’t seem bothered.allways fancied a kubota so may look at a u27 if I can find one to look at.local green tractor dealer has just taken on yanmar and assuming they keeping hitachi.coukd not buy nothing from them as they run a hire fleet so they are competing with customers which ain’t good for the customers buying their products.i don’t think you can buy a bad machine these days.it comes down to how dealers treat you I think and in my opinion most of em don’t give a f**k.you should not have to chase dealers when you are looking to spend money.within 20 miles of me I have dealers selling volvo,jcb,Hyundai,komatsu,hitachi,yanmar and kobelco and I’ve never had a call from any of em.
