Im in the market for a concrete demolition hammer ~10kg weight.
Initial thoughts were to purchase a rotary demolition hammer however I was doing my research, it appears the impact energy is much higher from a dedicated hammer machine rather than from a rotary demolition hammer.
doubt I will buy a hilti $$$$$$$$ even though I know they are the best
I dont have enough experience using rotary demolition hammers and single purpose demoltion hammers to confirm the theory. Anyone able to shed any light
From the hilti website
Hilti 700 Drill and Hammer Impact energy 7.9kg 11.5Joule
Hilti 800 Hammer 10.6kg 21Joule
Hilti TE1000 Hammer 12.5kg 26Joule
From the bosch website
Bosch GSH 11E Drill and Hammer 10.1kg 16 Joule
Bosch GSH 11 VC Hammer 11.4kg 23joule
I guess a X quantity of the motor power goes into twisting the drill and Y into breaking, so that when switch to breaking only mode that Y is all that the hammer can absorb, whereas if you start with a hammer only machine then 100% of the motor power is available for hammering.
Other than Hitachi Bosch Dewalt Makita, are there any other brands I should be considering, when I use it which will be once a month Ill be using it all day rather than 10mins every day. It appears there is the regular brands and then Titan, is there anything in between ?
I see that Milwaukee is not recommended!
