No unlikely, I'd say something is a miss since the engine change? Can you take a picture of the solenoid you are putting live to and which way round you've connected it up. Also a picture of the lights on the Terex box when engine running and in forwards or reverse. Then with just the key on but engine not running and drive in neutral. Gives us a clue about the wiring under the dash and can see if anything has been bypassed in the past.
Did you also swap the flywheel across and the engine adapter plate so we can rule out the distances being wrong between the pump and flywheel coupling. Also did you feel them mesh and have to rotate the pump or engine to get them lined up or did it just go together as they are normally a snug fit and take some jiggling into position.
