Yeah, I'm thinking about electronic vs petrol. Or whether to to just stuck with trusty stihl hand held 2 stroke. I have to cut quiet a few 600 x 400 travertine slabs in half to make a border for a patio, might just make a jig..

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
Reo brought his Clipper here when doing the wall ..... had to have a major fettle first, after he'd lent it to 'a mate' who'd trashed it, before it could be used, but was damned good ...... however ... the leccy version drew 16 amps on start up dropping back to 8Amps running, so needed a good supply and a blue 16A outlet to plug into

This is my worry with electric. I don't think 16 amp sockets are readily available in a domestic setting.

I use the Flex cs60, mainly for porcelain. Looked at a zoe but the decided against it with it being a big unit. The guide rails give a really crisp, true cut. Will cut mitres and being electric the customer is paying to run it...bonus.

Depending on the material, petrol machines can spall the edges even with the best blades. I believe it's due the tiny vibrations/oscillations caused by the engine.

Trouble is with using hand helds is how you make a frame to hold them, if you clamp them by the handles you hold them by all the anti vibration damping will give the blade loads of movement to wander off the cut.

So do husqvarna but there's a difference between cutting tarmac and cutting expensive paving your trying to achieve 4/5mm joints on
