Help needed to identify dumper, please

Hello everyone,

We have an ageing Benford dumper which works hard on our hill farm in the North of England.

The problem is that we don't really know what it is! We think it's a 3 tonne machine, we think it's about 1990 era.

Please can anyone help by identifying the model number and approximate age from the photos below?

And then of course, the obvious follow-on question is: please does anyone know where we can get workshop / owner's manuals for it?

Hey! Thanks v much @Maxus. The machines in this manual are slightly more modern I think (eg they seem to have a single steering ram - mine has twin rams, and they have different bodywork) but I am assuming that they are broadly compatible? Cheers, Andrew.

See my recent thread, i'm also a Northern hill farm and Benford TT3000 owner, mine has twin ram steering too, currently inoperable!
There is an ID plate on the N/S under the deck by the base of the steering column, it might need the paint carefully cleaning off with thinners or stripper perhaps.
I've just bought the operators manual from Ebay, it's the orange one. Take a look at it, maybe save it, but don't buy. You'll then maybe get a lower offer sent to you by the vendor like I did. Beware it is 'Operators manual' so doesn't get too down and dirty, but does have some useful stuff in there.

I'm still to find a good WSM for it, will take a longer look at Maxus' manual link, but on first sight can't see lubrication types listed....

Call PES if you want to be totally sure. Anything goes in the Lister engine (within reason!), UTTO in the axles, hydraulic 46 in the hydraulic tank. Can't remember what the brakes were but I think they 'might' have been mineral- that's one thing you'll need to be double sure of.

Will call them for service bits and maybe a Gbox overhaul kit, i've just realised how easy it is to get off so might as well have a go at it.

Forgot the gear box- any gear oil should be ok for that and the reduction box.

Might be 32 hyd oil rather than 46 although it probably doesn't matter much tbh. My 1998 benford 3 tonner recommends 32 for the hydraulics and also 32 for the brakes

80/90 gear oil for that
