I`ve found similar but not as much as 10p, I guess they are trying to second guess the market and cover themselves for the week.

Well local supplier i use for cherry and kero have been struggling to get fuel themselves never mind keep up with deliveries to the panic buyers. That's from a mate who drives for them not just made up so you pay more.

FUEL PRICE UPDATE

I’m happy to inform you that based on yesterday’s wholesale fuel price, it appears that next week you could be paying c. 10p per litre below your current price.

Of course, as you will no doubt be aware, commodity prices can fluctuate multiple times a day so we shall continue to keep a close eye on the market price and will notify you if there is a meaningful change between now and Friday when the price for the week ahead is fixed.

The price will change at 00:01 on Monday 21st March for all cards except Esso which will change 00:01 on Saturday 19th March.

If I can be of further assistance please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Local shell garage dropped over 10p a litre from 8am to 5pm today

Here is a question I've never found a convincing answer to:
A mate just sent me a message wanting to empty a heating oil tank he no longer uses.
Particularly at the moment, I've wondered if it's ok to burn in place of retail fuel.
I'm only running old-school diesel engines (Perkins 1000 Phaser is the most modern).

So - what is in 'diesel' that is missing from heating oil?
The various 'snake oil' additives seem to contain the detergents that are already added to diesel fuel, so perhaps this is one place they would actually be valuable?

Mix 50/50 with diesel and chuck a bit of two stroke oil in.

Kero is used in the artic as a direct swap as it doesn't wax
