Hi guys, new to this page. I have a wacker neauson 1001 dumper which will not start. Customer started it no problem and drove it onto the trailer, drove it home and went to take it of the trailer and it will not start. Customer didnt strap it down and it shifted around on the trailer not sure if that would cause any problem? I have already swapped the park switch with another one and also the brake pedal switch and still nothing, any ideas? Cheers

It’s what I do!
Seat belt switch if fitted, emergency stop button if fitted? Neutral position? Ignition switch, flat battery, starter exciter wire. Send photos please.

No emergency stop fitted, no seatbelt switch fitted, it will not crank and the fuel pump is ticking. Its just as id the brake pedal is not pressed but it is.

What year is it ? I’ve got drawings for my 1501 printed out here just now and if years are similar I can have a look over it . Mine has no seat switch , won’t start when handbrake switch is on .
Did you look at the 2 big fuses , 1 40amp and 1 50amp ?

At that age I’d be looking for a loose exciter wire on starter or something similar.

will the starter crank if hot wired? ... 'praps it's died ?? or not earthed properly ..... one on my JakieB had its own separate earth, which had me foxed once for half an hour 🤬

I'd do as druid suggests next check for a live feed at the run solenoid and try crossing the starter solenoid that gets you confirmed wether it's a engine problem or a electrical gremlin.

If it's still a no start it's a case of getting your multimeter out and tracing and checking the wiring back to find what's not letting power through

Often when a solenoid has its own earth it is for the safety switches ie seat switch, neutral switch etc. So worth checking.
