Picked up two of the little ftx tracer remote control cars not super fast but good fun, although went to a skate park and crashed it into a bin near enough straight away. Shattered the body but still going strong
I did exactly the same, one for me and one for my boy, their good those little tracers.
I just order Christmas presents last night and went for a 1/10 ftx rock crawler for William and a 1/8 buggy for err me lol.

Surprising fast for their size and have managed so abuse so far, made a couple of small ramps in the garden, they have crashed into quite a lot of stuff at full speed and beside me shattering the body no issues.
I left it a bit late to order at Xmas, as banggood does a copy version for not much more but runs lipo batteries instead and a different motor

I got a brushless conversion for one sitting in the shed. The transmitter came from banggood today.
You can get the ftx stuff from here and I'm sure their based in the UK. Some of the spare part prices are similar to banggood.

I got the Hornet from my wife for Xmas 8 or so years ago (I always wanted one as a kid).
Bought my son the Clod Buster for Xmas 4 years ago (I always wanted one as a kid!..)
I really enjoyed building them (did the Clod Buster together with the boy-child) - it’s a great distraction from Christmas bollox!

Forgot both rear spoilers are missing, will try to re glue them at some point.

A few years ago I had a hyper st nitro truggy and that was fast although managed to crash it flat out, when it went into a dip and straight into a tree. It took a fair bit of bark off it, bent the chassis a bit and snapped the two strengthening bars. At that time my mate had a hpi monster truck but every time we were out something broke

I've got a 1/5 scale laro dodge ram with a 2 stroke engine on it tucked away in the back of a container. More the size that's impressive than the speed tbh. They used the same engine that those go peds used before they were banned before all this e scooter carry on.

I like cake
we use a sealey 12/24. I accidently ripped out the charger and it broke the board that charges it so we hooked it up to a 12v battery conditioner and its going very strong, was around £200 plus vat back in the day. I have just had to replace the cables due to just being old but grand little pack and jumps a 30 tonne dump truck. Its big, heavy but it works

I'm sure that nitro one I had was well north of 40mph, think some of the electric ones are ever faster

@GazCro another mate had one of the 1/5 Baja buggies it was huge and ran off proper 2 stroke fuel rather than the nitro stuff ours were using at the time

All this playing RC cars with my boy got me interested again. I had a 1/8 nitro truggy about 17 years ago. I've just converted it to 22v electric. It's ballistic, it literally does full on wheelie's. It didn't go anything like that on nitro.
Trouble is my boys a bit scared of it and so am I to be honest. It would probably be good for 50-60mph.

That should wake most things up. Needed one for my winch but stuck Anderson so can stick jumpers on it if needed
