The funny thing is, if you used one, then Openreach would never know. They have got no idea where all the joint boxes are :devilish:
Along our road I know where all the joint boxes and split coupling are and frequently had to tell them when they tried to bodge a repair on the old copper cables :ROFLMAO:
Exactly...🤭 "Eh that's odd this pole isn't down as having a JB at the top...oh well must have been missed "

We all like a site visit :p so during the week went to have a look at my SIL's latest site where Rod is now Site manager.
It's being cleared for development following a change of business model.

IMG_6911.jpeg

Here the boys are pulling out the good stuff for a crusher run
IMG_6897.jpeg

Rod my SIL fettling the load sensor on the crusher
IMG_6894.jpeg

Ash operating his favourite 360 with riddle bucket gently loading the crusher. Stacker piling up to be reused on site
IMG_6901.jpeg

Ash loves his big boy's toys and is now Rod's 2IC
IMG_6907.jpeg

Sloping site. So big fcuk off piles in ready for block wall.
IMG_6908.jpeg

This beauty is no longer required and now has to be sold on

IMG_6895.jpeg

But they are keeping the telehandler on site whilst the big build goes on

IMG_6893.jpeg

See I told yer that it was a sloping site :ROFLMAO:

The trouble is that now I've been and had a nosy, I can hear Rod saying, "Can you just pop along for a few days on the other 360 in yer spare time' :ROFLMAO:

So Ryan, our grandson, is with is now during the half term holidays and will be working with me.
He’s in his second year at 6th Form and will be 18 very soon.
He’s picking up an excellent work ethic ;)
Today we spent most of the day in the warmth of my barn workshop doing stuff….

Split some hard wood piles for the wood burner….

Dragged in an old grapple for fettling….

Cut the horrible rusty bolts off….

Removed all the bashed up nipples and cleaned out the old grease…..

And shine up the pins ready for extraction. They’re gonna be effing tight

But all in all a great day doing stuff with my grandson ready for action next week on site with the old machines

So this morning we carried on fettling the grapple and tried to un-sieze the pivot on the 36" arm.
It didn't go well. I pinned it down with the digger and pulled it up with the bucket - broke the 'effing weld
IMG_7005.jpeg

So have decide to move on this grapple which has hardly been used but has a sized pivot.
The other pin we managed to push out with my 12T press the previous day :geek:
IMG_6998.jpeg

But I think that it's too big for my mini anyway. And should be donated to someone with a bigger machine.
AND a better workshop to get the pin out and away you go.

IMG_6996.jpeg

Will stick it on classified on this forum at 'mates rates' later on....
Meanwhile it has 35mm pins, 140 dipper width and 185 centres - what machine uses this spec?
The tines are 24" long and it's very heavy - more than a two man lift
If no interest, I'll stick it on eBay with all he spare buckets that I also acquired recently

You need some heat on the job.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
cut the pin down either side of the boss and drill/broach out the bulk of the pin, then either slit it with a saw or try pressing it out first .... same with the cheeks if they won't have it ..... heat is also your friend ... heat the pin stubs and quench 'em off to shock the rust stricture ... will heat easily with the middles missing ;)(y)

Thanks Gra for a method that will work (y)
But I can’t be arsed to fanny about and will look to move this and the other stuff on to Forum Members.
No doubt others like you have the skills and patience to fettle this and the other stuff and put it to good use :giggle:

Here is a sneak preview of the job lot clearance that I now want to move on once I’ve chosen the stuff I want….……
……will list them soon before listing on our own Classified Thread at ‘mates rates’ 🤠
