I ‘ve just had a text that one of our 320’s sits on a soil heap with a track off, first job tom 6.00 am. Uni is starting to look like a good shout. Would I get in as a matu student?

Feckin amazing how they can pick the most awkward basket moment to part company with the digger and usually in the most unbelievably inaccessible place . You’ll no doubt need to lug chains and bars a mile from where you can park just to add insult to injury

A good op will get her down on the flat and clean her ready for you to slip the track back on 😉

Would you need to go there with a good op? I'm not saying things never go wrong they do and can happen to any of us but imho a good op should have half an idea at least of putting a track back on.

This one’s off the sprocket, so not a one-man job. No concerns about the operator, he’ll have it clean when I get there.
Ten minutes to refit, ten minutes to tension up, two hours to come slack. New adjuster on order.
