I'm actually thinking of buying a low loader trailer so that I have the flexibility to get the farmers in question to move my machine- most farmers have a decent tractor but not necessarily a suitable trailer. it saves me the grief of waiting for haulage and they're usually happy to do it if it saves them the haulage element in the job. I really don't want to go down the tractor ownership route again- been there done that and don't regret selling it.

Don't do it.... been there, done that.

Why do you say that? I'm aware it's not necessary a good financial decision as trailer isn't likely to really pay for itself - but it does the grease the wheels in the sense it gives me far more options getting a machine to and from jobs- farmers know the local area, pick their routes. It's an expensive business getting a lorry up to here on the Moors as rarely a back trip for them etc

Seems forestry does satisfy Agricultural Occupancy as far as planning is concerned.

Different issues different definitions.
Planning has no influence on traffic law.
Just like tacho & O licence rules & definitions dont match.

Was a guy on old forum had a very expensive specialist excavator of the type seen in ski resorts, certain dealer of them was like my mate can move that for you on his straw wagon as you can climb up on it no problem.

said very expensive excavator was cab slammed into a bridge as sat up so high, turns out mr straw man didn’t have good in transport insurance for such a load.

not sure whether said machine ever got repaired it all got very quiet about it.

worth considering if someone else is moving your machine and they total it who’s paying.

What’s the best way to get Rd the 18200kg limit on agricultural exemption for full trailer load when moving 20/30 machines with 9 ton tractors etc? 😂

Yeah start putting a 20t machine(prob weighed in at 25t with buckets!) behind a tractor on a shitty low loader trailer and I’m going to call you a tw@t!!

And it's essential to be on the phone to your mates whilst driving- any less than flat out isn't good enough either.
Still don’t understand this, I hang on for dear life when I’m driving my tractor down the country lanes there’s no way I could contemplate having a phone in my hand and being in any kind of control over the thing!! Plus mine has built in hands free anyway 🙄

There are some right idiots on Instagram who are more than happy to share their incompetence's. I mean we all push the rules from time to time, on and off site, but there's no need to put a post up about how much of an idiot you are!
But I guess if you don't know - you don't know!
Turns out cleaning your cab on an hourly basis doesn't necessarily make you a good operator.....

Being female, moderately on the side and of not being a minger and posting few pics in bikini gives you a serious following though 23k in fact which is enough to monitise and make a few quid. Looks like other Scottish lass working for dads plant hire firm has had a cheap deal on a rototilt although unit has disappeared recently since fitting
