Interestingly, since the dose of Covid in this household there hasn’t been any “you need to get a jab” comments from the other half.
I did risk raising the subject and the latest comments refer to ignore the case numbers, keep your eye on the death rate. Clearly a lot of the covid fodder have unfortunately passed. The praise for the vaccine is also misguided. The media are not giving any credit for the improved treatments. We have come along way in learning how to treat (importantly how NOT to treat) those that get it. The biggest issues seems to be diabetic/obesity conditions.
The PM’s comments yesterday regarding “up to 90% unvaccinated in intensive care” come with a a marker. Up to = in at least one unit.
No numbers are being given on the numbers in that 90% that are unvaccinated due to under lying health conditions which is the reason they are in intensive care. The difference of being in hospital with covid rather than 4 covid is not being reported.
