How does the standard engine tow? I have considered one for next year when my Hilux gets to 10, could only justify the base like yours though! It would have to blow me away to get me to part with my Hilux mind you !!

Pulls like a train. 3 litre. Don't think its all that much more for the 240hp instead of the 200 I have. Or u can chip it. The 300hp has bigger injectors and bigger brakes.
The hilux I have on order is a 2.8 so will see how it is. The current 2.4s that we have struggle to pull the skin off a rice pudding!!!

Said it before ..but if the Grenadier materialises and is half what they promise on paper it looks like a decent contender. Proper chassis,6cyl BMW lump practical upgraded old defender basically but not built here so probably actually reliable got a refundable build slot on one so let's see.
Starting to see a few new defenders in "working garb" round here and dragging ifors etc

Is your hilux manual or auto? I take it you rate it highly due to your reluctance to part with it?

Santana a Spanish car maker used to assemble series 3 land rover then started to build them under licence when the defender came about they went there separate ways and produced a vehicle called the ps10 basically a series 3 with a 2.8 iveco engine eventually they where bought out by iveco and relabeled the mastif, don't know whether they are still produced but not available in the UK for sure
