In 1962, Elia Peroni with his son Francesco founded the “Elia Peroni Fonderia & Officina di Magnago” starting the construction of small plants for bituminous conglomerates, fixed and mobile, and heavy static rollers.

Ursus Peroni, which went bankrupt in 1984, initially dealt with the marketing of large rollers and the construction of excavators.
The difficulties encountered in the MMT sector shifted production to large road machines.
Both companies were born prior to the closure, at the end of the 1960s, of the Peroni Francesco e Figli company, a company owned by the parents of Mr. Francesco Peroni, owner of Elia Peroni, and of Mr. Franco Peroni, owner of Ursus Peroni who built concrete mixers, construction winches and small cranes for construction.

Elia Peroni Macchine Stradali was totally dedicated to the construction of small machines and systems as demonstrated with mini-finishers since the second half of the 70s: machines designed and developed for a sector that had never been observed by large companies until then.
Ursus Peroni, on the other hand, continued the construction and sale of larger machines such as tandem rollers and iron rubber, marketed both in Italy and abroad.
