Not his timesheet- he's still in his dressing gown at 9pm.
"relief driver" - Noun - Machine operator to be utilized when you cannot be f***ed to get out of bed.... "Jon's relief driver is working 7 days a week atm as it's a little bit cold outside"

supposedly 1500mm here .... but my buckets, etc. say we've had probably 30% or more, of that, in the last couple of weeks!! WTF they get their rainfall figures from is beyond me ... when a heavy downpour can put 30-40mm into a parallel sided, open topped container, (tin can) in a couple of hours :unsure:o_O
I remember researching this.
The rain measure is taken at a specific time of day with a strange way of calculation

I was an Owner-operator on hire to large construction outfits ended up with x2 13T with operators. - IT worked well enough for me for around 2/3 years. But always in the back of my head was cant take a holiday as who will drive the machine? They won't like it parked up without a driver, what if I get off hired, where will I park the digger as didn't have a yard, then you get off hired and sometimes get a day or twos notice, find a new hire, to be asked back on hire to the company you were off hired from so then you have to let down the new company think sometimes they do it as a power trip...

Had a friend buy a new 13T machine and get off hired within a week after being on hire for 18+ months to the same company

Do it, if you want to get it out of your system but it'll be a long hard slog from my experience

I’m trying to source a decent secondhand chipper for the tractor currently- one with feed rollers. But I love that mini chipper- it makes so much more sense to take the chipper right to the tree and turn into chip ten armfuls of brash that you’d otherwise have to drag to a road tow chipper.
Not something we do often but if I have a tree or something to sort that's in the way of a job - I take it down with a tmk tree shear and for the smaller branches that not firewood then we tow our road tow chipper with feed to right where we needed it with a tow bar setup on a merlo Cingo tracked tool carrier - which is the carrier of many tools 🤪

Is it wrong that I'm fascinated by the man on the video's enthusiasm?
