Seriously though, some people are so desperate to believe that the government want to wipe us out/turn us into zombies/take all of our money (mind you, that bit isn’t so far fetched) they’ll believe every “authority“ that posts online. If you come at anything with a pre-conceived viewpoint, you’ll generally swallow anything that supports that preconception and ignore what doesn’t support it. It’s the old mindset that If someone denies something, that just proves that they did it.
