Sounds to me like the carbon thrust bearing is worn beyond adjustment and the linkage is ceased..... my sister can work the clutch on them and they are all the same design.
Does your sister want a job driving for @VinpetrolSounds to me like the carbon thrust bearing is worn beyond adjustment and the linkage is ceased..... my sister can work the clutch on them and they are all the same design.
If your sister can work the clutch on my one I wouldn't want a boot in the arse from her !Sounds to me like the carbon thrust bearing is worn beyond adjustment and the linkage is ceased..... my sister can work the clutch on them and they are all the same design.
Do you mean the linkage on the outside of the box ? The linkage on the outside is all good . Cant say the same for inside though. I really should check it before doing any adjustments to the external linkage, are they difficult to get at Rory ?Sounds to me like the carbon thrust bearing is worn beyond adjustment and the linkage is ceased..... my sister can work the clutch on them and they are all the same design.

thrust bearing is hardly likely to be the source of the issue though, unless it's tight as **** on the nose tube ....Take the floor panel off, undo the linkages to clutch and the front prop off the gearbox, then the Bell/Clutch/flywheel (Whatever you want to call it) housing bolts.
You might want a chain hoist to lift the box out.... You can do it yourself but it's a bit of a twat.
In the clutch housing side there is a Round Black thing attached to the clutch fork..... piece of piss to change and likely the culprut..... That should have a Newage box so this information is right.... FYI the Newage box is a piece of piss to completely rebuild with new bearings so whilst it's out check the play on the Input and Output shafts! If you catch it before the wear gets too great you save yourself a load of lathe work.

as previously said it's the pressure plate spring load that has to be over come......
if the toggle arm is stiff in any way (or too bloody short), then taking the box out is not going to remedy the problem, other than being able to check everything is free. ...
agree though, if it's out do all that needs doing now, rather than later / post catastrophe
it's more likely the pressure release arms in the pressure plate are seizing(ed) up, so not only trying to over come the springs but the seized arms too ... depends on how it's assembled really ... could be any number of contributory factors and as has been said .. 'kin heavy from new anywayThe possible thing is the clutch is on its last legs, they tend to get heavier as they get worn![]()
Tbh a lot of it is down to the pedal and the angle of it, its not a natural angle to push. One of the many mysteries behind dumpers and where they have in some ways gone backwards or is it that those designing them have never even sat on oneit's more likely the pressure release arms in the pressure plate are seizing(ed) up, so not only trying to over come the springs but the seized arms too ... depends on how it's assembled really ... could be any number of contributory factors and as has been said ..
