Nice to see prop controls on a small taki, everything the 216 isn't 🤣🤣🤣
Wait till you get a price, make sure you're sat down.
I had a price for one when they first came out 2018 think it was just before I got the 216- it was £24k plus vat then and that was standard spec- Ive asked for steel tracks and a harford tilt hitch so expecting it to be in the 30s...Kubota kx027-4 with tilt hitch and steels is £34kplus vat

Just spent a few hrs on a TB225. It's uncanny actually- the customer had hired in a machine to backfill and grade the trenches I dug for him last week- anyway in the end he asks me to come and do using the hire machine so was quite excited when I turned up and saw the tb225 as I was just thinking on this morning I should get one on hire to see what they're like.

Have to say- pretty impressed. This was bog basic hire spec and it only weighs a touch over 2.2 ton in canopy guise. It's flippin gutsy- almost too much- grading has to be done on little more than tick over, and it's very quick to slew when you have the revs up. I havent tried any serious digging with it yet but it feels hungry for it. It runs same buckets as my 2.8tonner and had no issues with a full 4ft grader at full stretch and pointing down hill. The tracks widen to 1500mm so it's pretty stable.
Basically it's everything the TB216 isn't but didn't feel along way from my 2.8t Only real negative so far was the boom is quite chunky and right in your line of sight so right hand side of your grading bucket is in a nasty blind spot, pretty much need to offset the boom a bit to improve vision a bit.
Just waiting for a price for one now in my spec see what it comes in at.

I did mess about with the screen for a while- I think you can tone down the aux hydraulics to suit attachments. It's nice to see proportional hydraulics and stuff in a small Tak! How are you finding your cat now you've had it a while?
Love it , fantastic machine very smooth and very stable , cabs big and a nice place to spend 20 minutes 🤣

Seems a lot of money doesn't it. I wasn't quoted much more for a a TB240 only a few years ago! Thing is I can't see new prices ever coming down and likely only going to keep rising- what will they be in 3 years time- we may all be wishing we'd bought them now😬

Yeah they can't say for definite whether that price will rise or drop between now and July which was the delivery date.
Inflation has to be running away so I'm unsure what will happen

You weren't wrong! For a TB225 with steel tracks and a tilt hitch- £38k plus vat. ETA July 2022 and no guarantee the price won't rise further. The Kubota kx027-4 with steels and tilt hitch for £34k delivered April is starting to look like a bargain😂

Well he can bend me over all he likes- he isn't getting any at that price🤣
Base machine with cab is £29k. Steels were £3.5k and tilt hitch just over £5k. Think the add ons are the piss take as well.

Yep- found him pretty straight to deal with when buying my 216 to be fair to him. But yeah something isn't adding up here.

Always found as soon as you wanted an extra which wasn’t on the list they’d price themselves out of it so if you cancelled the order it’s still easy to sell ! I remember being told the prop controls were £400 extra and did I really need them ! To be fair to mark he’s fairly straight down the road nice enough bloke

Yeah I got that impression- they said I could order one now as base machine and if I didn't want it when it arrived in July it could go to the next person on the list.

I've a huge amount of time for CBL, particularly the hire lads and ladies..... But buying anything is often a chore, it's unlikely I'd have a new one for that reason sadly 😕

Agree hire is spot on service. Had a few issues when I've had a machine on hire like the time a TB290 conked out on a stockpile- they were out within the hour to get it sorted.👍

Looks like my Kx71-3 will be on the fleet a little (long) time yet!!
