Workshop air compressor

I’m after a reasonable air compressor, I only want it for tyre inflating and blowing out radiators etc.. that said I have over 30 tyres between all my kit so it can’t be a knock off job!
Thinking something like this? Any recommendations?

I’ve had this one for a few years and it’s great . I have 8 rubber duck 8 ifor williams 8 sprinter 12 dumper 4 pick up and 12 car tyres !
I also used a needle gun with it and it worked very well .

I would go for a larger receiver myself, if you start using air tools 50l wont be enough.

You also will want to budget for a new airline as the one that comes with it is pants . I bought a reel and mounted it on the wall . Keeps it all near and tidy

More cfm, larger receiver, belt drive means it’s quieter and runs at a higher psi. Higher psi means it stores more air if you are metering it off through a regulator.

ive run it for a year and it does all I need. I also have the one you first posted for site use- it’s ok but loud and wouldn’t be powerful enough or store enough air for my workshop uses.

I’ve got one of the 100ltr twin direct drive sgs compressors. Can’t fault it, only occasional use but runs the needle gun and paint gun for the odd panel here and there.

Most be some toy needle guns being used if small compressors are keeping up.

was just over 200 quid when I pressed the trigger ......
has been very good for all my air requirements ...
tyres, die grinder, blaster, etc. 90 ltr tank and very often plug my air bottle in too, if i want a bigger reservoir (30+ ltr ex-propane bottle) and also have 47kg bottle I use for air too, if that's not enough .. again just plug it in and tandem them up

I like the look of that, not sure how I’d get on with its power requirements, I always tend to plug stuff into many extension cables to get around the yard etc. That said I have planned to run air lines throughout the new workshop and a plug outside

That’s the way to do it. You can’t run even a 1.5hp compressor off an extension lead- too much of a startup load.
Having the compressor elsewhere also keeps the noise down.

mine sits in one spot and have plenty of air lines to run out to where ever I want air .... was lucky to drop on about a mile of hose, real cheap, years ago ... have gotten down to the last few hundred yards now though (also had a full circuit of air plumbed into the workshop, back in the day, so just needed to get from the droppers to where ever it was wanted)
also have an ex-tyre fitter's truck, Petter A1 powered unit which makes copious amounts of air for anywhere remote ---- but jeez it is loud

They don’t answer phones, if they do they just transfer you to a forever ringing line. Emails also just bounce back! If it doesn’t land next week I’ll be cancelling through the bank!

That's crap.
Hate it when folks go all website only s**t, but with the margins they make it's hardly surprising.
They are known in the industry for showing stuff on their website but not having stock...
