do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
A local contractor has just bought a 2.5t sunward
I'll try and find how long it lasts with them as they are a rough lot.

They wouldn't be such a bad prospect if they where like the Honda engine copy's where all parts are interchangeable but then we are supposed to be shying away from Chinese manufacturing
but aren't most manufacturers guilty of sourcing parts from China now - JCB for instance  ... to name but one
would be very interesting to know just HOW MUCH of any 'main stream' machine originates in ying tong land ????

I personally don't think sunward will stick around in the UK
Nor do I strangely..... doesn't help the cause that the sales mouthpiece seems to of pogo'd off to selling every brand of twirly dipper accessory bar the one he originally was backing? I could be wrong but hard fast sales don't relate to longevity in my experience.

Hyundai have been s**t for a long time..... Bobcat I can take or leave (Not a fan of the Doosan Derived ones)

Does it really matter for most machines out on hire.
Hitachi will get beaten up by the skilled operators of hs2 just the same a luigong.

I’d buy a Hyundai before a jcb

Always a fear with import machines, same with the sany which again don't have massive savings and sit somewhere between the sunward and mainstream machines price wise. Although sany have 5 year or 3000 hour warranty....... As long as their still in the country

Look at Kato, are they still around or have they disappeared back 🤷🏻‍♂️

Saying that we’ve a kato tracked barrow on a job at the minute, great bit of kit expanding tracks and takes a fair load to

Cat make entire machines in China....
If quality control is kept in check then I don't think its an issue really

Especially when you consider how market is at the moment or has been. If things slow down they'll have to lose more off the price than others

Its slowed, prices are back to pre covid levels for most things now

I worked at a smelting plant at Kiwinana beach just south of Perth AU. The guys there said For 5 years the flange parts come in from China with the same cast number they called up and made a noise about it was it was obviously not right. The Chinese changed the number and for the next year and a half it was the second number on all the parts 😄, makes you wonder, they knew there was failings but carried on ordering the stuff anyway. It seems it's ok to bend regulations as long as you are saving money doing so 😬

I’ve noticed stuff hanging around at silly money recently.

There will be a lot of dealers with some fairly expensive stock sat about, we are quite lucky our specialist stuff such as 3cx are still fine

Dont get me wrong not everything is back there but its got a lot easier to buy kit, I was offered some 15 machines last week by people randomly contacting us. That's a lot but We also sold 7 machines in a day.

It might be temporary though as lead times are still pretty mega for a lot of stuff, but lets face it the cheap money is gone and now its about paying it back, tax rises and cost of living increases.

HS2 is mega also, I'm privy to some info on that and the random requirements are insane, let alone the planned

Interesting times for plant values to be honest, its conflicting

also in relation to china, our quads are Chinese, and genuinely they are a quality quality product

I wouldn’t! The minis I’ve driven are horrible!
To be fair Dave my generalised opinion on jcb is based on bigger machines than minis but based on that experience I’d definitely have a Hyundai over a jcb and reliability would be the biggest factor
