2.6 ton digger and 1 ton dumper in the back of a iveco daily 70c

Hi folks

Based on DVSA (used to be VOSA) rules as per the attached screen shots i take it i can put a 2.7 ton excavator in the back of the iveco daily 70C because driving the van isn't my job but driver the digger is.
So a iveco daily is 7.0 tons gross vehicle weight.
Take the weight of the van at 2.3 tons that leaves you a payload of 4.7 tons.
The XLWB of 7.1 metres means I could get my 2.7 ton digger in the back as well as my 1 ton dumper.

One of the DVSA attachments is regarding the CPC license and one of the other attachments is if I need to tachograph.
Both answers suggest not.

I passed my driving test in 1985 and have a C1E category on my license.

4.7t I think would be without a body fitted.
The 7.2t daily tarmac tippers can carry 4 tonnes.
A 3.5t transit weighs more than 2.4t so can't see a 7 tonner weighing less

The 4.7t payload you would need to minus off bed and ramps which could eat up north of 500kg, other issue would be rear axle weight not sure you would be able to get a digger and dumper on the rear.
If you can't get both on your looking at towing at which point you may as well stay with 3.5t version put the dumper on the back and tow the digger, with the added bonus of not needing a yard, o license, tacho etc

Assuming it's being loaded with ally ramps just side load the dumper so it sits across the body up against the headboard. Then lift the skip right up should be just about within transport width

Would have thought a 1t dumper would be too long to go on sideways, I'm sure they are north or 2.4m long

Re tacho & O licence.

Over 100km radius you need tacho, under that could be exempt as long as the driver is using the contents himself not delivering them.

You will need a restricted O licence.

Doing this would not change tacho exemptions.

It would with a suitable trailer make you O licence exempt.
