Why not another Mitzi? They’re good engines And no issues making it fit. I’m sure if you contact Yanmar or Kubota they’ll advise directly, Perkins have a similar facility If you contact Diperk.

cost, Cant find a used on & the cheapest new is about £4k.
I dont earn from it so cost is a big factor.

Might be worth looking for take out Vetus marine engines as they are Mitubishi based and there is bit of a trend of going electric propulsion on narrowboats.
If your Schaeff is of the Terex age then be prepared for lots of bits that are slightly different to standard ...... and 2-3 times the price (which I'm pretty sure you know)

needed a 6354 Perky for a crane many years ago ...... Perkins could not supply ... crane block was different ... had to have mine re-conned - by Perky .. made a right balls of it ...... smoked like a bitch, worse than what I took out ... they spent weeks and weeks trying to resolve it and in the end re-imbursed me half the cost ...... but still left me with a lump that was worse than it started out at

Mr Rover's 3.5 V8 and run it on LPG ..... no red issues then
will last forever ........ and sound f**king glorious with a couple of stacks .... sadly I binned all my considerable stock of spares when I cleared me yard - should've kept a couple

Looking at those machines you posted from Agrisales and the prices I'd get yours repaired. Better the devil you know.
£10k for a battered PC7500 with 10k hours on it! You think you've got problems now, you just wait till you get something like that home.
