Was on a training course the other day and the instructor is an advisor to HAUC (highways authority and utilities comity ) these are the people responsible for making sure all road works are compliant with street works regulations and are able to hand out fines for anything from incorrect temporary sinage to incorrect reinstatement of the road after excavation
The instructor told us they have hired alot new inspectors and they are really gunning for the big firms Balfour's kiers amey and the like looking to hand out some big fines
This will be a big blow for these companies aswell if this goes ahead and each of there highway sites is pulled to pieces
deserve everything that comes their way

The Greater London Authority (GLA) has been given Treasury permission to borrow another £825m to keep the Crossrail project alive.

Doing better than they where in surrey.
The have enough blokes to cover the gritting and find the jobs throughout the year but beyond that everything is subbed out.
More supervisors than there are workers by a long shot.
But I don't think anyone will ever successfully run a big contract.
Far to many people dossing and steering there desks to early retirement.

On a slightly different subject but still involving Banks and so called proffesionals on Netflix there is a very good docu film called "Inside Job" It's all about what happened during 2007/8 These Fu**ing smug barrow boys that caused the problem are still involved, It's a very good watch but won't help your blood pressure.

aside from the 'smug fkrs' .... the media contributed colossally in that sad episode ... as they are at the moment with the fuel ... things would not have gone off a cliff like they did without the bas**rds creating panic in pursuit of a story .... there is a lot to be said for certain aspects of the news and the media that need muzzling/more control - in the interests of the public in general and the country as a whole ....... they will print/say anything to keep themselves occupied
