" Heads up guys! Sent this by a friend,,
Today I was done by VOSA in Perth for my truck interior curtains showing both sides.
It’s a new enforcement that came out on 1/1/19.... cost me £100 fine.
They’ve already done 20 drivers before me today for “window vision obstruction” (as they call it) for curtains, dash tables and windscreen stone guards.

Don’t let the ***** get you like me today "

:eek::eek::cry:

About bloody time too.

Its not rocket science to work out, if your alongside a truck and you cannot see the driver, theres a bloody good chance he cannot see you!

And before anybody starts bleeting that he'll be able to see your vehicle etc, etc so know you are there!

How does the plate on rear of trucks work then IF YOU CANNOT SEE MY MIRRORS I CANNOT SEE YOU! maybe not but I bet if you look in yours you'll be able to see my wing!

I’m all for it(y), the flip flop brigade with all the tat in the windscreen:mad: V8 super with his curtains half shut:whistle: they fit windows for a reason,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,to see out of:unsure:
totally agree Mog ..... hiding behind a half pulled curtain, on the phone, trying to negotiate a 90 left at the lights in town, one handed and head elsewhere .. see 'em all the time .... really annoys me :mad: ... a bad junction when on the ball :rolleyes:

Not strictly a low loader but this is what I collected yesterday

Weight 5.5 tonnes with the stand :eek:
Has its own power pack in the top to work the rams so only needs a electric cable and lifting cables 5 m3 capacity

Straight I shift box in it Mark. Lovely to drive but it only has a single reduction drive axle so gearing can be a bit high for manoeuvring around in tight spots. The I shift with crawlers would be a dream for this work I’d say.

Is it much of a hindrance having that axle setup ?? Knowing how difficult it is to follow a six wheeler with an 8 wheeler

I had a great day with Paul (Mogman) delivering some kit to a quarry we are working in next week. He’s an extremely decent bloke and I was lucky enough to get a tour of his yard/workshop (playground?!) when we got back this afternoon (and I am dead jealous!).
He genuinely couldn’t be more helpful, is geared up to move/shift/lift/build/demolish/dismantle just about anything you could think of, and has to be one of the most creative people I’ve met. And his new ripper looks terrifying!!
