Supposed to be in Belgium this weekend for the f1, bought the tickets in 2019. In 2020 they offered a refund or move them, so we moved them but it’s so complicated getting around as the uk are on red level to Belgium . They won’t refund me . Bast*rds

but they've all been vaccinated !?? .... oh wait - it's not actually a VACCINE.. so ain't gonna stop it spreading, ppl getting ill with it, ppl catching it !!
So WTF has 80% of the population had it if it does sweet FA, other than keep 'em off a ventilator, the chaos is still ongoing and everyone has to do as they're told and stay at home ?????????????????????????????
I've not had mine but on the flip side when I was at my mates wedding a few weeks ago someone there had covid after having both jabs

i understood it was to lessen the effect not negate it or to stop as many as possible having to be admitted to hospitals. i had both jabs as i have reduced immunity from infections and for early part of lockdown i had to shield, once i had jabs i did get out a bit but was keen to stay away from people still doing that now. its probably easier when retired but my fitness has plummeted and there is a bit more of me than when i was working. its up to each person how they see it, i dont judge whatever their choice is and dont expect others to judge me for my choice, i have not lost any family because of it but i have lost some friends who could not beat it, i would like to make a good number of years yet so will continue to be cautious and feel glad i have that choice.

Went out on the town last night started at a village pub caught the train in town few bars then ended up in a nightclub. Felt good to be back to normal although not saying I make a regular habit of nights in town. Was good to see people enjoying themselves. Seemed a bit quiet though not as packed as used to be

That's part of the problem whether people want it or not, their being forced or bribed like they are doing with the teenagers with free cinema tickets or meal vouchers

Don't complain - suggest what's better
If they really wanted ultimate control, they’d start with the internet, same as China.
They don't need to, their mates are already doing it for them. Posts on lots of social media going against the party line for covid were removed and posters blocked. If twitter can ban the president of the United States no-one is safe.
There also seems to be a bit of a thing of moderately right wing awkward people having their bank accounts closed or frozen. In this day an age that is really serious.

Difference is China 1 party communist state here they have to at Least pretend democracy is legit. Like @Grahams says big tech censors anything they don't like and I think history won't look kindly on the last us election and tech interference. Shame to see America on the downward slope. Twitter has been labelling quite a few c19 posts as misleading lately when they are just stating facts. Its like they're censoring the context not the content.
