They take a bit of getting use to and can make you look a bit of a twat.
If you have been on something else and jump on one they feel very jerky but after an hour they fine I find.
There cabs are awful all the way up to 8t small and cramped but they dig and lift well and are generally very powerful

That u26 I drove was seemed precise..... didnt like the digging envelope as much as the kx71 ... probably the short dipper.
But noticeably faster than the kx71 esp in slew .... Gunners gave them a thumbs down but not sure I agree.....although this was a canopy so couldn't grumble about cab.

Busy week this one!

Katie came out mid week and took some wonderfull pictures. I probably aught to ask her on a date, but that's the great unknown.

Friday my cat salesman got my big smooth/muck bucket for the backhoe delivered, and what fun that is! I don't know how i lived without this for so long! I want a hydraulic quick coupler now, although still debating about S-Type. There is something to be said for sticking with the manufactures hitch system, but the versatility of s50 would be nice. A compaction wheel is also high on the list now! any thoughts anyone?? very keen to hear others opinions. I'm self tought, so I've never really seen what a backhoe can do, just used mine.

I cant believe you have run just one bucket for so long? Over here that kind of machine would have 4 or 5 lined up in the front bucket for different jobs. You guys seem to dig the same sized hole for everything?

Think a ditching type bucket is prob the standard on a backhoe round my way. Wasn't it a pretty common use for them as could be roaded? Please send pics of katie

i'll Admit, we don't dig much with the backhoe, its mostly a loader and forklift. Thats changing lately, as were doing some new build work. I'm looking for a wide toothed bucket, and a compactor wheel. Than a dumper to work with it!

Dunno about that, when you get into darkest Norfolk there are quite a few American cars about. And pickups.
