JCB Js130 Cab Lights

Hi folks..
Has anyone added cab lights to their JS130 (2007) or similar model? Doing work for a customer and wiring is in place for cab lights. Referring to the wiring schematic for the work lamps it says, when referring to switching on the cab lights, "provided that these options have been selected in the machine set up tool". Is it the case that the loom has to be activated for the cab lights?
Any info is greatly appreciated.

As you’ve realised, the wiring is there, maybe even a switch, as I think a boom light and the one in the toolbox are standard and the cab lights optional. But the wiring is not live. I cannot recall if you will find that they are both currently -Ve? I think that’s right? But in any case the loom needs to be activated via plugging it in to a computer. Total PITA!
It’s a dealer job unfortunately, unless you know an independent man with the relevant setup?

Yes I remember having to activate or deactivated many different circuits, work lights being one of them, cameras being another!

@Shovelhands thanks for getting back so quick. You are correct, loom and switch are there. Existing switch for the lights has two on positions. Pos 1 for boom and box light and second pos for cab lights. Disaster! Me thinks some work around will be done now.

24V relay. Power (30) from the light fuse location. And signal (86) from the light switch. Disconnected the two output wires to the cab lights from the ecu and pinned them in to 87. Downloaded a manual from emanuals to get the wiring diagram. Around €20. Can send pics.

So added a relay and binned off the fancy ecu controls it's the way I would've gone

In a nutshell fancy/pointless... Another gimic to lock you into a main dealer.

But it's what all the cab fairies want these days and what sells machines. F all wrong with a line of switches as far as I'm concerned.
