Is anyone on here handy at setting up SVAB?
Put my flail cutter on in the 5t yesterday again, and still can’t get it to spin up very fast, so checked pressures and I’m only getting 45bar, so I can assume that in the current machine setup it’s limited to that.. so I thought maybe I can setup a new bank of settings which allow full flow for breaker/flail when I take the Engcon off..

Any one done it before or do I really need to get JCC back out??

I'd say give him a quick call and he will be able to talk you through it. 👍

Is one off the buttons not set up for full flow?

no.. think of that got pressed with the Engcon attached it might do some damage. When it was new the breaker/flail weren’t going on the machine, so it was just setup for Engcon only. I Should of made provisions for it I guess!

Jcc set up my svab system so i can run flail & engcon at same time with no issues. One of the rollers opens up full machine flow. Don't run flail hydraulics through engcon, got T’s in main hydraulic line. Got a svab manual if that might help.

I drop off my tilty.. hadn’t thought of putting a T in, would still need to open It up for full flow, but how do you stop that going into the tilty? Ie flail running then use the tilt/rotate function? Will give him a buzz when I’m next in the yard with a hour to spare 👍🏼

Bumping this as still not resolved, messaged John again today to no avail 🤦‍♂️ Hammer works but it just bogs down to a near stop when things get tough, annoying when I know the hammer & machine are more than capable 😣

What size machine and tilty you got
Can run full oil through my ec206 it's only held back for fuel economy and optimization at lower revs

When John put it on he did say he’d over ridden the electric spool so it was full on all the time.. but no way are the hammer lines going full chat, I just assumed the svab control was holding it back? It’s on a 57 jcb ec206..

I am comparing the hammer being used on a 3cx.. they run so well on a 3cx maybe I’m just expecting more from the 57? But I used to run our flail on a 2.5 mini and by comparison on the 57 it’s half the speed!

How was your machine aux operated before engcon install foot peddle ?

A lot of people underestimate 3cx aux flow although i don't know they still fit as big pipework as they used to (possible its option) but unless ur hammer is specced such that a 3cx is only just capable of running it at optimum 57 should still run it well enough. You should deffo be able to run flail better than 2.5 must be turned down on flow.

Always on the levers with a thumb roller I think, didn’t even use the machine before Engcon was fitted so never knew what it was like fresh outa the box

Older 3cx used to have 1” return pipework.. all the ones I ever had were 3/4, ran all sorts of different pipework setups and all ran hammers extremely well.

So today I’ve been on the breaker.. smashing away in my own little world I wondered why everything was being obliterated! For a unknow reason I’d been using the left front roller for a change to use the breaker and obviously that’s sending full flow out..why I’d never realised this before is beyond me! Going to take the flail with me one day next week and see if that’s any better on it now I’ve found some more power! 🤞
