If you want to continue working for them I don't see you have a lot of choice. The surveyor guy is fine, it’s head office refusing to pay unless we are on Constructionline

Surely that's their cock up if they didn't check you were constructionline before getting you to do the job, it should be no reason to use it as an excuse to not pay you for what you've doneThe surveyor guy is fine, it’s head office refusing to pay unless we are on Constructionline

If you have an order you have an order!! We can’t pay unless you are on a scheme is no legal way to avoid payment unless it was a condition of the order. The surveyor guy is fine, it’s head office refusing to pay unless we are on Constructionline
"good luck finding a new contractor who'll do as good a job as we will ..... my track record speaks for itself and i do not need some pissy piece of paperwork from some bunch of muppets who've never seen what we are capable of to qualify our abilities to perform ... we have plenty of other perfectly satisfied customers to service"To be clear they don’t owe me anything but I’ve 3 jobs priced that surveyor has accepted and wants us to do but can’t issue an order till we’re on the new system but can’t get on the new system till we are pre approved Constructionline etc. The other jobs they paid through the old system we were on.
I think most big firm head office people don't actually care about their subcontractors or even how good the job is. Complying with the company policy keeps their nose clean and doesn't rock the boat so that is what they do. You have to be very lucky or very special to have a policy specially altered for you."good luck finding a new contractor who'll do as good a job as we will ..... my track record speaks for itself and i do not need some pissy piece of paperwork from some bunch of muppets who've never seen what we are capable of to qualify our abilities to perform ... we have plenty of other perfectly satisfied customers to service"
if you can afford it --- f**k 'em
problem with all of this crap is, it's dreamt up by a bunch of incapable ****wits who are unable to be productive themselves and sold to even more morons, who're equally inept, to arbitrarily impose on people who can actually do the job. The more of them that comply with these, what are ultimately sanctions imposed, to allow them to work, doing a job they are more than capable of doing, the more it will proliferate. Non co-operation in this money making, farcical bollox would soon see it die off ..... or those imposing it would have to actually DO something themselves and we'd end up with some proper old fashioned contractors, instead of the current parasitic bunch of subbie wranglers, creating God knows how many tiers of extra costs on any given job.I think most big firm head office people don't actually care about their subcontractors or even how good the job is. If you look at the standard of work turned out by a lot of big companies out shows this. A lot of the time it's not major things but often just finishing touches which have been missed or done half arsed mainly due to lack of care or the fact that we are breeding a workforce which is unable to think for itselfI think most big firm head office people don't actually care about their subcontractors or even how good the job is. Might want to tag on some extra fees on the pricing to go towards cost of the schemeTo be clear they don’t owe me anything but I’ve 3 jobs priced that surveyor has accepted and wants us to do but can’t issue an order till we’re on the new system but can’t get on the new system till we are pre approved Constructionline etc. The other jobs they paid through the old system we were on.
Good afternoon Ruben,
Re: Please see attached.
I hope you are well.
I was just emailing to confirm whether this work was instructed? If not, please may we confirm that the price remains the same and arrange for the works to be completed?
Good morning,
I have not had confirmation of this job. The price would be the same at £xxxx plus vat- it’s mainly labour, so the recent increase in cost of cement only has a slight effect. However, as per my email to YYYYY, I am not interested in registering for SafeContractor.
Good afternoon,
Many thanks for your response and we are happy to proceed without registration to SafeContractor. Please may you send the previous quotation provided and I will send a PO immediately.
