Hi all
I have a thwaites 6 ton dumper. Shuttle.
I put my foot down on the accelerator and the engine revs stay the same. Linkage seems to be ok. Stopped the machine and now it won't start. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Alternatively know anybody who wants a 6ton thwaites that doesn't start?!

Have you checked the fuel and air filters?
Is it old? Could be the fuel shut off in the pump seized, I've had that on a few engines.

Hey @Timbo ,when you move the throttle lever on the inj pump,is the spindle actually turning through the top cover? There's usually either a square or semi circular hole in the lever that mates with the spindle and if the retaining nut becomes loose, the hole wears and the spindle doesn't turn. Could then be shut off too much internally for it to start.
