Good luck getting stuff in the southwest atm...just had notification that The pallet network have suspended all shipments to Devon and Cornwall...never seen anything like it. Depots rammed full.

Multitude of reasons but from what I'm hearing a lot of it's holiday trade related . I know our local depot said they've had their busiest two weeks in their history of haulage.

Have seen people complaining of lack of cement/slabs/timber with buying limits in some places.

Cement was bad before the Bank Holiday round here. Sudden rush on it and everyone sold out for the week. Seems ok now though. Its making it quite hard to trade in all this random shortage crap

The hard to trade part while a different thing is the same for us. It’s a pain in the ass

Few part exchange's and that but it’s very dry out there. We see a few business getting stock in so fair play to them all but it is indeed the worst I ever saw it, we are just buying what we can get from elsewhere such as Lumag and Cfmoto Quadzilla. It’s pocket money but i realised yesterday we sold in excess of 150k of Lumag in the last year. So we just look at other things. Getting tempted to start doing a raffle for plant. Seems all the rage

Lots of places I keep my eye on have nothing (literally) and like you are pushing other things, as you would.
So if there is no new kit available till next year is it likely nothing is going to change any time soon or do you see other factors ?

Hard to tell how long this bubble lasts for. Kit is over priced so somebody will hurt when it adjusts . We cant find a good qty of equipment but have plenty of bits to keep us busy we are lucky to have low overheads and no debt to speak of but we still need to earn a keep. Life finds a way and we muddle through.

Looking at a few other things to do but i dont want to distract from the core business. We must keep looking for plant and selling plant. Its what we know. Lumag / Quadzilla etc is ok but I call it pocket money
