I was in the trailer place I use yesterday and the boss was telling me they have stopped taking orders for Ifor Williams trailers. All they have on order are sold and there is currently at least a 30 week waiting list that is getting longer by the day. He was saying Ifor have a 30,000 backlog of trailer orders.

I’ve got an ifor gx105.went for individual ramps rather than full width ramp to save some kgs.my ecr25 fits a treat with less than10 MM clearance either side.got another ifor flat 6ft6inches x14 ft.only kept for convenience really but a pain in the arse to keep getting ramps out from under floor with continual back ache.originally gave up using it 17 years ago as I needed so much room to unload if working in city or busy towns.on my second gx105 Bought 3 years ago and never had any issues,not even a bulb blown.original one I replaced brakes,cables and wheel bearings after 15 years but old stuff was ok.and yes tyres explode occasionally but replacements from trailer tek.co.uk are much better

Unlike many others, my trailer brakes are kept spot on. The knott system used on ifors is the easiest to do.one comment Doob, as devil's advocate..... Ferodo's old slogan many years ago was " your right to speed is your ability to stop"

Can’t beleive they making 1000 trailers a week but good luck to them.need to keep our trailers secure because they will be more wanted by the theiving scum who steal them.if anyone is after parts I’d be ordering them.seems to be a big shortage of most things aswell as machines due im sure to our “friends” in Europe punishing us for leaving the european community

Speaking to my local IW dealer, they are selling a lot abroad and treating domestic dealers very badly, very long wait time and very difficult to deal with.

No idea it’s never had one on it.. they soon come off only a lynch pin and afew bolts (no idea why it’s both pins and bolts

Yes they are, in the factory yard all the trailers have a sticker on the front with the dealer its heading to, and a lot are for abroad. Some have different stickers in the local lingo where they are going.

According to my contact the factory output is 1000 units a week at full production. Not sure why they are so behind, but demand is the highest my guy has ever known it and he has been selling trailers for decades.
Not just Ifor, I went past the local Indespension dealer today and their yard is normally so full of new trailers they are stacked on top of one another. Today it was virtually bare, just a couple of hire trailers and a three tiny toy trailers you see behind cars going to the tip (probably 4x3).
