I guess that it has one of those bulbous bows sticking out the front and now buried in the bank somewhere under that dinky sized wheel loader.
almost certainly I'd have thought ... they make a huge difference to the way these big ships perform .... especially on fuel consumption

@Mogman posted a pic of a “tug” in the yard, just need to do the calculations to work out how to make it float and you’re sorted 🤣

Where did you find this Graham?
The "alternative facts" version has been around a long time.
The photographs are real, but as @Flying Torquewrench says, the back story leaves a bit to be desired.
Snopes as usual, debunks the fabrication and provides links to the 'indecent report' to back it up

We'll dig her out lads, no bother 😂
I might be having a blonde moment here, but surely their digging the wrong side?, I mean there must be tugs tied up to it pulling it the other way so they should dig the other side, for it to pull away from the bank rather than potentially go further into the bank??
I could just be completely wrong but doesn't make sense to me 🤔

I think they have a big problem as there was apparently a very high water level and windy when it mounted the bank. The Dutch salvage is talking about taking containers off to reduce the weight and get it to float again. If the water level dropped 50cm and it is sitting on its hull.....you can tug it as much as you like....it is stuck!!

Yeah, read something along the same lines. They're worried that the weight is going to damage the middle of the ship so we're looking at also pumping out all the fuel

Shipping companies already saying 10 day delays today ....if you need anything that's imported I'd get it fast ..once "non essential" shops open again and folk start buying more there's going to be shortages and stiff increases..not hitting the news much but in B2B it's causing serious hassles already perfect storm of brexit, lack of production and increased demand and now this . A tilt liner from Latvia that was 800 euro 3 years ago is now 3000...no wonder timber shooting up.

Can't you see - they are digging a new canal!
looks to me like they'm started digging a 'winding hole' ... most canals had 'em for turning around in :ROFLMAO: .. shove the bow in and bring the stern around ... gonna be some hole for that though
