Hi all,

Have this 2 ft bucket going cheap. Its probably off a 16/17 ton machine, 70mm pins 310mm dipper width 410mm centre's.

One problem the back bosses have been welded up, we used it to practice line boring when I first started and it was never bored out again.

£350 or make me a cheeky offerView attachment 22879View attachment 22880View attachment 22881View attachment 22882View attachment 22883

would make a nice long toe-er with a bit of effort/alteration ;) ... only thing right for mine is the pin dia. :( mine's 270 x 400  :( ...... and too 'rich' for the work involved (for me anyway) .... good strong bucket though

Hi Aiden
Could you make one of these selector grabs work on my engcon ?
it uses dedicated prop controls on machine so no extra services . Could a valve be used to switch on one of the services switch back and forth to operate the grab maybe ?

Yes would be the short answer, in general a 4 hose system works this way. Not sure how you engcon is setup though.

can't remember if your 'steal of the decade' had any aux outputs under the rotator Vin ??

No it doesn't have any other ports . The tilt and rotate functions are fed directly from the machine . I wondered could I utilise a button on my lever to operate a valve on or near the tilt rotator that swapped either the tilt or rotate flow to the grab or even the bucket crowd function on a valve?

I'm guessing it has a hydraulic quick hitch? If it does then it will have a swivel. I would think then that a valve of some sort could be added to give you and aux service.
@Randla might be able to offer some insight to this?

At this distance it's difficult to say. If it's an Engcon four hose setup with an hydraulic hitch (SS9-IQ) then it should have an aux port underneath already. As Aiden says, If it hasn't got a hyd. hitch then in all likelihood you won't have a swivel and it will be SS0, in which case you'll have to attack the valve work on the top of the tilty. Get a CETOP on there with an electrical feed to divert the tilt function to your grab. Remember not to wind the hoses up when you are rotating though. ;)

Is there a plate with the serial number on it - that should usually identify the control system.

Have you got anything in stock suitable for a Tak TB216? Will be used to handle rocks? Ideally I wanted the proper stone grab that intermacato do the TG16st but can’t find anywhere that either does them or can get them in this century.
