Bobcat E10 Tracks

Well, looks like the time to replace the tracks on my E10. I’d always known they were well worn, but had one of the metal lugs break off the other day so don’t want to risk complete failure. Also have a bottom roller that’s got a bit of play that I’ll do at the same time.

Tracks are £146inc vat each from Bobcat locally. For that sort of price, is it even worth looking at aftermarket options? Are certain aftermarket ones better than original?

For that price I'd go for it.

One of mine is on 1500 hours and they are still in good condition, they are wearing down especially when you park the new one at the side of it but they are far from worn out. I'm aiming for 2k hours before I replace them.

The rollers on the e10 can seize quite easily so I check mine often, doesn't take long to ware a flat spot in them.

To be fair don't think you'd save much if anything going elsewhere, when I last bought tracks for my old tb108 they were £126 three years ago

Mines on 1200hrs and ex-hire so probably not had an easy life prior to me buying. Obviously I’ll check rollers but is there anything else i should be checking while I’m in there?

It's always worth trying to give the idler a kick to see if there's sideways play in it but you dont need to do much to check the rollers just jack the machine up on the bucket and blade and have a reach under and check that they turn nicely with little play the ones on the pc20 rang like a bell when we got it

couple of squirts o' grease'd pack that back out
