Thanks chaps very Interesting, I know Doosan make the Bobcat E57W and their own and on paper they are all pretty much the same but price wise there is a large difference with a new Volvo around 53K and the Bobcat being 62K for similar speced machines. I did look at the Wacker E65 but from the dealer I spoke to they start at 72K.
My main reason for asking is that there seems to a lot of these Volvo's on the market and a very low hours year old machine can be had for reasonable money, I was wondering is there is anything wrong with them?

Yip read the badge and it says made in South Korea, we had a doosan one for a couple of years was a handy wee tool doing road works, foot paths and finishing works. Only problem really was it was only 6 or 7 ton bit on the light side. The bolts the held the hub assembly were prone to coming slack on ours

Thanks for the input chaps, I am glad to see that I am not the only one that gets PO'd with Pass Over Advert either. I does beg the question, Are they embarrassed of the price they want?
Any way, I have just put my order in for a ex demo unit, I will let you know more when it turns up.

I’ll be interested to hear how it turns out. I’ve often thought there must be a niche market for a small duck and trailer on local jobs that are too big for a mini digger towed by a pickup, but not long enough duration to warrant the haulage of a 7 or 8 tonne tracked machine.

Is that refering to the agricultural side or construction

Same tractors different badges same production line cabs are the same with different arm rests controls fitted
I think somewhere around 2008 was when the 2 lines completly merged

New toy has just turned up (EW60E), cant wait to have a play tomorrow when its light. I think one of the first jobs is to get a hitch installed so I can drag a trailer around the farm - anyone got any suggestions on whats the best way forward ?

most ducks have then welded in centre of dozer blade. if you want real fancy can run an aux line and make the trailer tip.

Don’t weld anything to the blade you’ll only rip it off when you clean up to the blade with a ditching bucket, if the blade is at the back make a socket for it so you can pull it out but if the blades at the front no bother but would still only bolt it on

Aye .. too true that Mog ... 'Drema has two flat plates welded to it for bolting a hitch to ..... PITA when using the blade to clear up against .... can't imagine having an entire hitch attached

at least they're at a decent height
socket with a pin in hitch attachment's the way to go on the blade for sure .... I've got a jaw on the back of the 'Drema though, factory fitted

be well handy if I can ever find a suitable trailer to stash all it's gear in, in one spot, instead of spread about.
