some'll go easy ... some's fooked .... don't know till you try, but I'd have given that a go, back in the day .... if the cap was screwed in, you'd best get a new ram by the sound of it .... bloody annoying ..... Mr Sod is obviously about up your way

Not like you namby-pamby builder/groundworker lot who stay on nice solid ground, never get dirty, and don’t lift anything heavy or awkward (with machines never designed to lift quite enough!)...

Pity you've pulled the end cap out getting a new rod welded on the eye isn't a expensive mend I've never seen one pressed back successfully they need to be better than you can see with your eye to not eat seals unless your a druid

you'd be amazed how good a druid eye can be with a pair of edges to work on
..... have done a lot of rams .. and literally hundreds of directional drilling sections/rods ... they really do need to be straight ..... they were a great earner Footer block 1
