Personally I'd get a Classic bike or Car, get insured and just head east for a few weeks seeing where you wind up.

Do family want to go with you? Scotland supposedly has a good campervan route along coast which would be family friendly

Scotland and campervan probably ticks the box's for family. Got a brother up there, borrow parents campervan. 😁
I've done a bit of travelling in the past, spent a summer travelling round the states and Canada.
Heading east sounds good but maybe fly and get a vehicle to travel round when there.

I've drove to Belarus 3 times taking aid out for the Chernobyl fall out. That was eye opening in a truck convoy

When I first opened this thread I thought is was about the different buckets available :ROFLMAO:

How about doing the Rallye Monte Carlo Historique rally stages in your choice of car in June

We went to the Monte-Carlo F1 for my old mans 60th and although there was a lot of hype it was good :)
