or if like me you always in your truck you just ensure the rear is full of saws and you all have hi-vis on..😉 "been on the saws guv"
Ive plenty of mates up there and suppliers etc but its all a bit pathetic. its more the principle that gets me. i can survive happily with out going to the lakes for a walk for a few months as I'm in the sticks myself but lot of folk its their lifeline atm..😒
Deffo. I’ve already told the missus we’re taking the cement mixer and she’s wearing overalls to go visit her folks.

Judging by remarks on twit Ter n general attitude of some down here coppers think they're back on the 80s stepping well over the mark
Dont think Cumbria cops have a lot to do methinks... definitely smells of localism...I've a funny feeling that the airline's might be busier than they think after all this as folks are desperate to get a holiday anywhere but UK and it's begrudgingly tourist industry. Makes me laugh in the lakes as loads of folk aren't locals but act like they are...😁 U can tell when they start talking always cracks me up when they start going on about not wanting folks from the red zones etc and they moved 6 months before to their "country lifestyle plot"😂

They always seem kin busy if you report anything nicked, can take days to turn up 🤬
The non locals are even better when the house next door gets sold and new owner gets building work done. Start complaining about noise and dust etc but seem to forget 18 months ago they did it and didn't bother them then. Even better when they go round the neighbours to drum up support for complaints and you've either worked for them or their actually local and you've known them all ur life 🤣🖕

Not had good experience of Cumbria police in past, relative was seriously let down when they allowed a known threat to women almost kill her, other forces sent us documents to try n help, attitude there was, can't do anything, till he does!
Then had emergency alarm in house, only two in whole county,I was out on rail job on sat night,Mrs panicked pressed alarm, was like a wrist watch....they went n checked other alarm, never bothered coming out to ours till 6 hour later when I got home

Get that shed built and finished ASAP :ROFLMAO:
Following your "New Workshop" post with interest.
Did a similar thing about 20 years ago and it's still going strong.
Basic low 'pole barn' - 36'x20' in 3 bays with a big 6 roof. All recycled ;)
A neighbour (now gone) had a problem with others and their 20+ greyhound breeding business.
We came home from holiday to a postcard from Planning Enforcement.
The complaint was that I had built the shed without planning and running business from it
At that time I had a classic 1959 Austin FE Series 3 lorry in there. Immaculate and used on rallies etc.
I was concerned because it had gone over the 4m rule by about 200mm.
The nice lady from Planning Enforcement said, " Don't worry I can see that it part of the enjoyment of your property."
Q "What about the height?" R "I am not even going to measure it. I can see it's just over 4m, but has been up over 4 years, so it's exempt"
That was a big relief :giggle:

So is your wife a Lady Mason ;)
At the time that I had a visit, in the same office was a retired police officer that I used to work with.
Obviously, he couldn't deal with my case 🤫
Often it's not what you know but rather who you know in the funny old life :ROFLMAO:

That doesn’t surprise me in the least. Ideal place for AI, applying a set of rules to spreadsheets. Accountants getting creative is where a lot of problems occur. The AI should overcome this.
As my dislike for accountants is almost on a par with solicitors I don’t have too much sympathy. Given how accountants have treated normal employees in big firms I don’t think I’ll be the only one with little sympathy when it is their turn to lose their jobs.

Getting back to coronavirus I was reading about the new vaccine. It has to be kept at -80C. Given our GP has been closed since the start of the first lockdown and how organised track and trace is I don’t hold out much hope we can successfully vaccinate 67 million people in this country.
