Same story in the lakes. Never been as busy for years when first lockdown eased and i know nobody who died of covid and can only think of a dozen who've had it. Doesn't add up.And we had millions holidaying down here all summer go figure

And the daftest thing about it of the one's i know who have had it half are over 70 with lung conditions (my auntie for one who has copd) and yet covid has barely bothered them.

well no frost this morning 
but has been a beautiful day and damned near shirtsleeves weather, mid day ... uncovered these first thing .... Happy Druid .... and an even happier SWMBO ....
Then got cracking bedding these down .....
the time spent planning the layout was time well spent ..... but did have to take 20mm off this last one, annoyingly ... could've closed a few up, but having gotten 'em all just right, clipping an edge off seemed favorite
got one and a half more runs down t'other side of the steps before knocking the laying on the head due to running out of muck, time and the need to get things covered up for tonight's impending frost .....
Clara much better today
decided to finish / round off the day prepping for a frosty morning tomorrow .... get these filled first thing, while the white shite buggers off ...
MK2 does a great job on a 4" trench
Barra tyre was a tad soft so thought I'd stick a spot of air in it for the next trip ...... should've put me glasses on ... what i though was 20, must've been closer to 40 ... bout 10 PSI too much .....
'twas VERY loud ... apparently Reo said to Pam ... "tha's the barrow tyre fu**ed" he wasn't far wrong ........... so 'fore I locked up tonight, had 10 minutes swapping a tyre ... had a spare wheel complete, but the bloody spindles were different sizes 
.... they don't take a lot of changing though ... can do it with your hands, quite easily .... this un' s bonfire fodder now ... after dark type bonfire ... with a good south westerly blowing could do with a bit of a catalyst for a drum full of leaves... wet ones.

They go with a fair pop don't they it must've been on its last legs I've put 50 in a wheel arrow tyre before it makes much easier pushing on hard ground

... only a 2 ply piece of crud thing ... struggle to find a decent barrow tyre these days .... that'll hold 50PSI .. but yeh makes for easy wheeling .... Reo has his foam filled ... hateful thing ... no puncys .. but no give either

Also the yellow plastic ones it's like pushing a barrow with a flat tyre everywhere. The tyres defiantly weren't rated for 50

got the top two rises finished this morning
then turned our attentions to ............ the steps
thought I'd taken more pix, but haven't stopped ..... been on the 9" most of the day ... having sorted the new layout for the 600 widths, been lopping trimming and notching to sizes whilst Reo's been getting 'em down .... got covered up, by him and Pam,, whilst I was cutting yet more bits, 'fore I could get any more pix tonight ... looked like a snowman most of the day ... the beard had more dust in it than yer average polybag ... a shower was seriously enjoyable tonight .... progress tomorrow is very much subject to the weather, which looks like a wet start to the day ...... but not as wet as Monday's forecast to be
could be a day spent on Reo's truck wheel bearing instead ... muppets down the local gagrage have had eight plus weeks to get it sorted for him
and still haven't ... new bearing arrived yesterday in readiness for a DIY job, 'tween the two of us ..... ... have done a few and pressed hundreds ... not the easiest of jobs .... but it's gone from just talking to him to screaming .. "change me" in the last couple of days so#'s gonna let him down shortly
